The Pinkbike Podcast: Episode 84 – RockShox Computer Controlled Suspension Explained
If you’ve been on the internet this week, you’ve probably seen a bunch of articles on RockShox’s new computer-controlled suspension system designed to add efficiency to your enduro and trail bike on the fly. Rather than bending down to flip the pedal assist switch, Flight Attendant manages the compression of the fork and shock in real time, constantly adding or subtracting damping as needed and, most importantly, to varying degrees. various depending on how you want your bike to behave and the terrain you are on.
If this all sounds complicated, that’s because it is. There’s a lot to unpack, that’s the subject of today’s episode; Mike Kazimer, Sarah Moore, Henry Quinney and I talk about what the flight attendant looks like on the runway, what the hell Bias Adjust is doing, how the fork now adjusts the low speed compression of the l shock absorber (seriously) and if ten batteries are enough or if Kazimer had to use two GoPro.
What is your opinion on Flight Attendant?
